Purple Corn Wine

Have you tried purple corn wine? You can drink it straight from the bottle or mix with other tropical drinks. Try mixing it in apple juice or coconut juice. Better yet, try mixing it with coconut wine or lambanog or native tropical fruit wines like strawberry wine.

Or try it with ice cream and mix in copious amounts of clear soda for a shake. Mild red wine with purple corn wine, chilled before drinking, can refresh and relax you while you wait for the grilled prawns to cook.

How To Make Any Recipe Taste Like Chinese Food

I've heard people narrate long narrations only to end up later on the same note as they always had. Anything they started talking of ended in the same conclusion. Like, they may start talking of the environment, then shift to the human body, then to World War II, to gardening, to political parties, and then to Obama. And then the next time around, they may start with space shuttles, then shift to health drinks, then to shoes, to hamburgers, and then finally to Obama again.

That may be bad news to Obama, but it can be good news to your cooking. You can use the sample principle in your kitchen.

Bitter Dish

My boss came to the office a few moments ago announcing he had serious death threats--and the assassins were dead serious, he said. I imagined them like cooks cooking up a bitter dish for big boss. What a place and job to be in. I prayed to God for protection--for big boss et al--and if the cooks and their waiters ever deliver the bitter dish, may they be the first to taste it. They might as well finish the whole thing. I eat bitter melon and some herbs--even hopia soup--but not bitter dishes.

Sidefood, If There's a Sidebar..

No, it's not seafood or side dish. It's Sidefood--at least that's what I call it. These vendors have all their merchandise laid out on the floor of the foot bridge that crossed highways overhead, or else right on the pavement of sidewalks. The foot bridge or sidewalk has only about a meter of space remaining for pedestrians to walk on.
